Dear everyone,

I hope you’re enjoying the summer! It might be drizzly tomorrow, and if so I hope you’ll come to catch the produce at its absolute best, and of course hang around for some lunch under cover of the school shed (this is to be renamed “stroud green sun-screen” or simply “rainy days caff” depending on the forecast each week).

The apple season has already arrived at Perry Court farm, and they are being packaged in biodegradable plastic which is a big step in the direction of no waste. Meanwhile, Eden farms the organic stall is packaging-free, though you can use paper bags if you like to keep things fresh and safe.

Other updates:

1)      The bike doctor is back again! This will be the last chance to have a free service this month.

2)      Kaffee culture is away for August, and we are really lucky to have the top baristas of Second shot coffee to fill the gap. They only use the best beans available and regularly showcase different London roasters.

3)      I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this before: you can now order raw milk week by week! either at the stall a week in advance or by writing to this email address by Thursday. It’s from a tiny free range farm in Somerset which doesn’t use any chemicals or unnatural feed, and goes straight from the milking parlour on Saturday night on the way to us at Stroud Green.

4)      Check the list carefully as some stallholders are away just this week and some don’t return until September.
